NuvioLife
Family-friendly by design

Each family member gets their own login.

League and the carriers route every dependent claim through the primary member. NuvioLife is built differently — one shared family allocation, but every family member submits their own claims.

Back to For Employees
The dependent workflow

One shared pool. Six independent logins.

The legacy benefits stack treats families like one user with several mouths. NuvioLife treats them like the people they are.

How most platforms make families work

One login. Six headaches.

  • Spouse and kids must wait on the primary member to log in for them
  • Receipts get lost in family group chats and email forwards
  • Primary needs to know everyone's appointments, dosages, and providers
  • One person plays unpaid claims clerk for the whole household
  • Dependent privacy disappears — every claim is visible to the primary
  • A single missed receipt can void months of family expenses
How NuvioLife works

Six logins. One shared pool.

  • Each dependent invited by email, sets their own password
  • Each submits and tracks their own claims independently
  • Each sees their own balance and chooses their own payout method
  • Primary sees a household roll-up — never has to claim on anyone's behalf
  • Privacy by default; medical detail stays with the person it belongs to
  • Family allocation stays shared, but the workflow does not bottleneck on one person
Setup

Adding a dependent — under 60 seconds.

Four short taps. No HR ticket, no PDF, no waiting period.

Step 01

Tap Profile → Dependents

Open your member app, head to Profile, then tap the Dependents row.

Step 02

Tap + Add Dependent

The plus button opens a single short form — no PDF, no HR ticket, no waiting period.

Step 03

Enter name, relationship, DOB

Three fields. Spouse, partner, dependent child — pick the relationship that fits.

Step 04

Invitation email goes out

Your dependent gets an email, sets their own password, and lands in their own dashboard.

Independence

What dependents can do on their own.

Submit own claims

Camera → wallet → amount → done. No primary required.

See own balance

A clean read of remaining wallet allowance, just for them.

Choose own EFT/e-Transfer

Reimbursements land in their account, not yours.

Set own 2FA

Two-factor on, off, app or SMS — their call.

Track own claim history

Full Pending → Approved → Paid timeline, scoped to them.

Manage own notifications

Push, email, frequency — independently controlled.

Shared at the family level

One household, one allocation.

Independent logins do not mean fragmented benefits. The pool, the rules, and the reporting all roll up to the family — only the workflow gets distributed.

Family allocation total

One pool, drawn down across the household.

Plan-level eligibility rules

Same wallets, same coverage logic, same year.

Coverage categories

What is eligible is consistent for everyone in the family.

HR oversight at plan level

Employer reporting still rolls up to the primary plan.

Common questions

Family FAQ.

Can I use my benefits for my spouse and kids?

Yes. Your dependents (spouse, partner, dependent children) can claim against your shared family allocation. Unlike most Canadian platforms, on NuvioLife each dependent gets their own login so they can submit and track their own claims independently.

How do I add a dependent?

In your profile, go to Dependents → Add Dependent. Enter their name, relationship, and date of birth, and an invitation email is sent so they can set up their own account. Some employer plans require HR approval for new dependents, your dashboard will tell you.

What happens to my balance at the end of the year?

That depends on your employer's plan settings. Some plans carry forward unused balances for a period; others reset annually. You can see your specific plan rules and your remaining balance in the app dashboard.
